Anne Carlsen Center for Children

 exterior

The Anne Carlson Center consisted of phased delivery of sensitive and highly specialized environments for profoundly challenged children. Scope included new primary nurse and administrative stations, offices, kitchen and therapy areas. Complex existing conditions require extensive coordination with ICRA for installation of new roofing, windows, interior finishes, medical gas headwalls and delivery systems, HVAC and electrical systems while occupied directly or adjacently. Addition linking existing medical wings required noise and vibration constraint measures, including helical pier and isolation sheeting. Multiple user groups demanded ability to bridge consensus between dissimilar needs and goals.
